My dear CDC friend had a birthday on July 23 and because 2/3 of our organization was out of town(me and Kathleen), we could not celebrate her glorious birth until today. We had a great little Birthday Breakfast at Paradise Bakery!

My past team at Shawnee Trail meets every 3 months for a birthday celebration. Today, Aug. 14, was the Birthday Month of Steph and Mel at Spoons in McKinney. YUM...Anyway, these great gals have all gone to different schools or different jobs and yet we come together at these times and laugh and cut up like we just saw each other yesterday. I would say some very deep bonds! All ages(as the pics show obviously) come together and have more fun than oughta be had!

Below is a very special group of ladies who reconnected a week or so back in Houston. Annette Pedigo, Priscilla Patterson, Sammie Hill and Mary Jo Smith--we were 4 of the 6 Seminole Cheerleaders in 1969. WHAT A BLAST OF A YEAR THAT WAS! AND no, we did not practice our jumps! Missing from this pic was Kathy Pierson and Mollie Melone.

What is it about summer vacation? It comes so slow but passes so FAST!

I basically saw my kids, grandkids and many friends from my past this summer. Basically went all over the state doing so and maybe that was what made it so much fun. I decided to not put off seeing people who are important to me now and to reconnect with people who WERE important to me in the past! I think I accomplished that this summer.
