New Year's Greeting

Look closely at the flowers growing out of Ben and Jackson's heads!!! Yikes-is there a zoo around to house such as this?
I don't know if there is room in that zoo for the craziness.....

More Rocking around the Christmas Tree!

As Christmas Day approached, more of the kids came to McKinney. Ben and Ashley flew in from NYC and Karla came from Austin and Leslie and Rob and Jackson were already here because they live here(in Richardson that is). We met at Watermark and went to Christmas Eve church service there and it was a fabulous service and presentation of the Christmas message...from the manger, over the rocky road of Jesus's life to the cross.....HE came to set us free. WOW....it was such an incredible and great service. I loved it.

After the Christmas Eve Service, we started home via North Park mall to do a little last minute Christmas Shopping for Rodney. Got it...then got home about 5 minutes before all the rest of the kids came for supper! PHEW! Soup night....taco and Mulligatawney! YUM!

See the pics for all the fun with Jason, Missy, Chad, Hunter and Chrissy, and the rest of us!

Christmas ROCKA-MY-SOUL!

We made a fast and furious trip to Lubbock to be with Alan and the "girls" and I forgot my camera so I will have to figure out how to pull those pics off of Shutterfly to post, but it was a great time. Emmerson had a Fancy Nancy Christmas and little Evynn got a new vacuum, play purse, and a new dollie. It was so much fun. Deonne cooked her good food and made her great salad....and we ate, played with the kids, visited, and I even got Alan to go shopping for some new jeans for his Christmas!. Yeah for the GAP!.

Sweet Friends of Mine-Past and Present

Laura, me, Jenny, and Jill went to the Melting Pot to kick off Thanksgiving Break! It was a great and filling time! Fondue, (Cheese and Chocolate mostly) was sooo good! What fun. Jill's mom was visiting her from Michigan and she was with us. We laughed and made ourselves sick!!! haha
Stephanie, Mary, Shana and Melanie(and me)....We have decided to celebrate every 3 months for each other's birthdays. November was for Shana and me. We ate in Downtown McKinney at one of our favorite places-Spoons. Love their meatloaf plate!!! And their Strawberry cake is to die for!

More Pumpkin Patch week-end fun times

Thomas the Train became a part of the girl cousins in Jackson's life.....and they could not get enough of it. We just crammed too much fun into the weekend.

Hannah Montana Practices at Shawnee Trail

Hannah--watch out....because Emmerson Rose is practicing her performance skills and is getting an early start. See Stage Presence...and such a smile. Also, Alan could not get away from the Electric Piano. We acted out the "Old Gray Cat" and played all the music instruments.

Pictures for Pumpkin Patch Field Trip

The PUMPKIN PATCH WEEK-END was the BEST

Alan, Deonne the their sweet little ones(Emmerson and Evynn) visited this week-end and we all had a great "field trip" to the Big Orange Pumpkin Patch in Celina(sp?) We fed the cows, goats, and sheep...then we explored all the pumpkin "photo op" places(see Blog pics), did the bounce house, ate hot dogs amidst all the bumblebees, had a hay ride and just had a great time. I think the pictures tell it all! Leslie, Rob and Jackson of course came along for all the barrels of fun we had. Oh...and I squashed my big butt into a barrel to ride with sweet little Evynn.

Fun at Jubilee Junction-Open House at Jackson's Preschool!

Life is good when you are 2-1/2 and while you are still an "ONLY" child!!! haha...Jackson's open house at his Mother's Day Out was tonight and I got to see his "room" and all his beautiful works of art! Actually, I really did get into the Apple with GLITTER on it!!! He loves the trucks and trains and lego table most of all. He tried running around chasing a few little girls who really didn't know him...but he loved it anyway! I loved watching him most of all. It is nice to just sit back and watch another school setting and not have to make sure so and so keeps his hands in his own "space" and on and on.

I had a pretty crazy day with the Kindergarteners who came to music today so, little ones were kind of "off" my list of fun for the evening!!! haha. After seeing Jackson though, I just kind of forgot about all the craziness and reveled in the joy of being little again!!! What fun....

More September Fun !!

I suppose the best thing about this week-end was hearing that Jackson told his mommy that he "wanted to go to Grammie's house!!!" How sweet they are as they learn about life and simple joys, like go to get ice cream. Here Jackson is waiting for his Braums' chocolate milkshake!!! Yummy!!!

Big Week-end in September-'08!

This was an event-filled week-end because Jackson came to stay with Grammie and Pop(and Rocky and Missy) AND Jenny, my teammate at school(the art teacher) had her baby on Friday! Baby Jason arrived safe and sound at 6 lbs.15 oz. and is long with beautiful dark hair like his mom! Jill, Laura and I could not wait 24 hours to go check him out and he passed ALL inspections with flying colors! I have pictures of this fun-filled weekend.

And sweet little Jackson ran in the yard with Missy, watched Cars, the movie, and some Thomas, the Train movies. We worked on pottying in the potty........but he sounds like his mom when I asked if he needed to go potty--"NO!" So much for that! He DOES like to wear the "duds" that go along with being able to potty in the potty! Check out the car underwear!
